Ansons advises Avril Group on acquisition
STAFFORDSHIRE-based Ansons Solicitors advised French proteins firm The Avril Group on its acquisition of The Kerfoot Group.
Kerfoot Group is headquartered in Northallerton and specialises in packaging and distribution of oils.
It has ambitions to corner the rapeseed oil market.
The Avril Group, along with subsidiary Saipol, is set on expanding its footprint in the UK, and reaching a new stage in the international development of vegetable oil production.
The financial details of the deal have not been disclosed.
The Ansons corporate team was led by partners Hilary D’Cruz and Neil Jones, with support from senior associate solicitor Julian Milan and solicitors Jamie Gill and Emma Wells.
Ansons carried out all the legal due diligence concerning legal and financial operations, worked on the sale and purchase agreements, and fulfilled the necessary disclosure requirements.
The corporate team were able to rely on further support by other departments at Ansons including the commercial property team, led by senior partner Simon James, on property and planning issues and the employment team, led by partner Martin de Ridder, for employment matters.
