EY launches People Advisory Services team with key appointment

EY has appointed Joanne Kaveney-Davis as a Partner to lead its new People Advisory Services team in the Midlands, an integrated practice combining experience from Tax and Advisory.
 
Ms Kaveney-Davis, who originally joined EY as a manager in 1997 in the East Midlands, has 23 years’ experience advising multinational clients. She re-joins EY having spent two years at Walgreens Boots Alliance, based in Nottingham and prior to that, eight years as a Director at Deloitte.
 
In her new role, she will be leading EY’s 40-strong PAS team in the Midlands, which aims to deliver insight and innovation on people, organisational and compliance issues to help resolve most people-related business challenges.
 
Ms Kaveney-Davis said: “It’s a great time to come back to EY and I’m excited to be joining the Midlands practice at a time of significant market opportunity. As the global workforce evolves and organisations continue to change, the need to understand the scale and complexities of how and where people work has become critical in achieving competitive advantage.”

Deloitte strengthens dealmaking team in Birmingham

Kevin O’Loughlin, Corporate Finance Manager, DeloitteDELOITTE has appointed experienced dealmaker Kevin O’Loughlin as a Corporate Finance Manager in its Midlands Lead Advisory team.
 
O’Loughlin (left) joins the Birmingham office of Deloitte, having spent four years with EY, and as his new role will have a focus on deals across the Midlands.

He has previously worked on a number of successful deals including several mid-market private equity transactions. He also has cross-border deal experience.

New director for Wesleyan

 
Tania Brisby, board member, WesleyanWESLEYAN, the financial services specialist for doctors, dentists, lawyers and teachers, has appointed Tania Brisby to its board of directors.
 
Ms Brisby (left) has more than 25 years’ experience of working in various roles across the financial sector as well as consultancy services and the public sector.
 
She has extensive experience in areas such as corporate finance, privatisation, debt and equity markets and SME development and has worked across Europe, North America and the Far East.
 
Wesleyan chairman Bryan Jackson said: “Tania’s experience in banking and the finance sector will be invaluable to us as we continue our growth programme over the coming years. Her roles working for the NHS and other public sector bodies will also be a huge benefit to us as we develop our offering to hospital doctors, GPs and dentists.”
 
Ms Brisby, who holds a number of other non-executive board positions, including being a Strategic Advisory Board Member for NHS South East Commissioning Support Unit, a member of the Financial Reporting Council’s Tribunal Panels, and membership of the Management Board of Circle Group, said: “This is an exciting period for Wesleyan as it looks to grow and develop its offering for both personal and commercial advice and support.
