Coventry serious games studio backed by Midven

TOTEM Learning, a simulations and game-based learning studio based in Coventry, has received an investment package from a collective including Midven, Creative England and existing investors.

The business specialises in creating games for soft skills training and practice.

The debt/equity investment – of an undisclosed sum –  is to help support the business to create its own IP – games for learning and development that can be purchased via license fee.

The first such product, a 3D, online, multi-player leadership game, was recently launched and received the Gala serious games award. Other games in development relate to critical thinking and project management.
