£5m investment paves the way for new Porsche centre
A CAR showroom in Wolverhampton is set to open following a £5m investment.
The city’s Porsche Centre will open for business next Monday – bringing with it a number of new jobs.
The dealership is relocating from Sutton Coldfield to purpose-built premises on Stafford Road, near to the i54/M54Junction 2 gateway to the city.
Around 34 people, including five new recruits, will be employed at the centre, which is one of only two official Porsche showrooms in the West Midlands.

Simon Priest, Porsche Centre Principal, said: “The new site in Wolverhampton opens up a new part of the country to Porsche and presents us with a very exciting venture for both the centre and the brand.”
Tim Johnson, City of Wolverhampton Strategic Director: Place, added: “This is a prestigious development on the northern gateway of the city and a major boost to the local economy.
“There is £3.7bn of investment currently on site or in the pipeline across Wolverhampton and this crucial gateway is another example of the regeneration taking place.”
The Porsche Centre will offer the full range of services including new and used vehicle sales, a full range of demonstrators, servicing, parts and courtesy vehicles.
The new building features a 20-vehicle car showroom a 16-bay workshop equipped with the latest technology, dedicated MOT and customer service facilities.
