Transport consultancy expands after securing new work

A TRANSPORT consultancy is expanding its presence in Birmingham after securing additional work.

Phil Jones Associates (PJA) has taken out an additional 1,500 sq ft of space at Seven House in Longbridge. A number of new jobs may now follow.

Currently, 25 members of staff work in Birmingham, as well as a further four in the company’s specialist traffic modelling subsidiary, Multimodal.

The new office space has been stripped down and redesigned. It will accommodate new staff members – including three graduates – who are due to start shortly.

The consultancy also has a base in Reading, where it has doubled its workforce to eight since it opened the office in July last year. It has also expanded its Bristol office and opened in Exeter.

The firm’s London office has also seen growth, with three new appointments there.

PJA founder and managing director Phil Jones said: “We have always been open about our ambitious expansion plans. This wave of growth, right across the country, is the latest step in achieving them.

“From Birmingham to Bristol, we are taking on new staff, more office space and growing our presence. Our clients know that they can call on invaluable local knowledge wherever their projects are in the country.

“This is testament to the hard work of the existing team, as well as current market conditions. It is fantastic news for the company, and for Birmingham.”
