Leek Town FC and LilaConnect partner to connect the local community
LilaConnect, leading provider of broadband and telecoms, is announcing a new partnership with Leek Town FC.

Specialist broadband company LilaConnect has underlined its commitment to the local community by striking a three-year partnership with Leek Town FC.

The deal, which is expected to be the start of a long-standing relationship between the two organisations, is inspired by LilaConnect’s mission to bring new connectivity benefits and award-winning levels of service to the region.

To kick-off the partnership, from Saturday, 4th February, an advertising campaign to highlight the availability of the brand’s gigabit full fibre broadband in Leek will span billboards and signage throughout The F. Ball Community Stadium. It will also appear in the team’s match day programme.

In addition, the LilaConnect team will be on hand at Leek Town’s home matches to answer any questions residents and businesses have on its offering and availability in Leek.

This partnership that aims to provide ongoing support for Leek Town FC demonstrates not only LilaConnect’s mission to put community interest at the forefront of all its operations, but its commitment to long-term investment in the burgeoning market town.

LilaConnect completed the build of a new gigabit full fibre network in Leek at the end of last year. It offers over 11,750 homeowners and businesses across the market town access to one of the fastest, most reliable internet connections anywhere in the UK.

Niel Vine, Head of Sales and Marketing, LilaConnect, explained:

“The common thread that links Leek Town FC and LilaConnect is that we are both in the game of connecting communities. With LilaConnect full fibre broadband, life-long avid supporters like me, can enjoy watching the beautiful game on live stream TV without the issue of slow internet or buffering when the Blues are not playing in the hallowed ground that is Harrison Park. This partnership is truly a match made in heaven!”

Jon Eeles, Chairman, Leek Town FC, added:

“As part of the Club’s continuing development and journey towards long-term sustainability, we are proud to announce a new commercial partnership with full fibre provider LilaConnect. LilaConnect’s dedication to providing support to the local community in Leek is commendable and much-needed. We are looking forward to building this partnership further.”

The common problem of slow internet and buffering when multiple devices are being used at the same time, no longer exists with LilaConnect’s full fibre broadband. The reason being that it builds FTTP networks (fibre-to-the-premises) where its fibre optic cables are laid all the way from the signal source directly into your property.

Customers who sign-up for an internet service can receive incredibly fast upload and download speeds – up to 1 Gigabit per second each way simultaneously. If you’re wondering what that looks like, if you’re currently paying for a 60 Mbps connection, a 12GB HD movie might take around 25 minutes to download. LilaConnect’s 1 Gigabit full fibre service gets the job done in under 2 minutes.

There’s also the opportunity to add telephone services without the need to create bundle packages to secure the best level discounts. Not only is service performance exceptional but the pricing of service options from 250Mbps up to 1 Gigabit is extraordinarily competitive.

Residents and businesses interested in connecting to the LilaConnect full fibre network can register their interest at www.lilaconnect.co.uk.
