Sedgwick takes the reins at Watson Buckle

ACCOUNTANCY firm, Watson Buckle, has appointed a new managing partner to lead its Bradford-based team.

Susan Sedgwick takes over from former managing partner, Chris Padgett, who has stepped down from the position but will remain a partner at the firm.

Ms Sedgwick has worked at the firm since 1980 and has been a partner for more than 20 years.

In her new role she will be responsible for the day-to-day management and the strategic development of the practice.

Ms Sedgwick is recognised for her work with housing associations, not-for-profit organisations, printing businesses and subsidiaries of overseas holding companies and will continue to work with her large portfolio of audit clients in her new role.

Ms Sedgwick said; “It’s a very friendly firm, with a great bunch of people working here and a superb portfolio of clients.

“I enjoy working with the smaller, owner-managed businesses we specialise in and I’ve been very fortunate to build such good relationships with so many of them, who I’ll continue to work with in my new role.

“Taking over the management of this firm is a big challenge, but a very exciting one, and one which I’m looking forward to.”
