Three in, one out at Viridas

THREE directors have left Viridas while another has been appointed as the Yorkshire company continues to evolve its strategy.

Nicholas Lee, who is currently head of corporate at Novus Capital Markets, has joined Leeds-based Viridas as a non-executive director.

David Thompson, Keith Robinson and Jack Posner have stepped down from the company’s board.
 
Mr Lee, aged 48, is also chairman of AIM-quoted Charles Street Capital and was previously a non-executive director at Paragon Diamonds, which is also listed on AIM.
 
Mr Lee has held the following Directorships over the past five years:
 
Viridas has abandoned plans to establish an operation in Brazil growing jatropha plants for use in biofuels and would instead become an investment vehicle focused on natural resources.

Mineral exploration entrepreneur Ronald Bruce Rowan has invested £250,000 in Viridas and  £750,000 has been raised through the placing of zero-coupon, unsecured convertible loan notes to fund the new strategy and that has now increased to £1.05m.
