Long delays expected at busy M62 junction

Motorists approaching the Lofthouse Interchange where the M1 (J42) and M62 (J29) connect just south of Leeds in West Yorkshire are advised to expect delays this morning. There are lane restrictions on the roundabout for emergency carriageway repair work which is expected to continue throughout Friday.

Delays approaching the roundabout are anticipated to increase as traffic builds for the Friday morning peak and is expected to affect journeys for traffic merging from the M1-M62 and M62-M1. Where possible, road users are advised to consider other routes to divert away from this junction.
