LUPTON Fawcett, the Leeds and Sheffield based commercial law firm, has hired Steve Holroyd as a consultant in its trusts, wills and estates team.

Mr Holroyd has nearly 40 years of experience in providing a range of private client work but specialises in wills, trust and probate matters.

Managing director Richard Marshall said: “I am delighted to welcome Steve, his experience and extensive knowledge of the private client sector will allow us to maximise development opportunities for the firm.  The strengthening of our team underlines our commitment to growing our private client base.”

Bruce Blackburn will lead Harrogate-based Clean Energy Yorkshire’s increasing sales force as it looks to expand nationwide.

The company, which was started by husband and wife team Spencer and Tamsin Cassidy in 2008, employs more than 25 people and recently re-located its head office to Pannal Business Park.

Clean Energy Yorkshire specialises in supplying and installing solar panels, ground source heat pumps, turbines and solar hot water systems.

Lorraine Young, Garbutt & ElliottYORKSHIRE accountants Garbutt & Elliott has strengthened its payroll team with the appointment of Lorraine Young.

She joins the firm, which has offices in York and Leeds, as payroll manager.

She has previously worked for Bradford engineers Gardner Denver, hotel chain Q Hotels and Henton accountants in Leeds.

THE Rezidor Hotel Group has recruited Valerie Stewart as the general manager of the Radisson Blu Hotel in Leeds.

Ms Stewart joined Rezidor in 2005 as the human resources and training manager at the Radisson Blu in Birmingham, later progressing to director of operations.

In 2009, she transferred to the Radisson Blu Hotel, Edinburgh as director of food and beverage and six months later was promoted to director of operations.

Last year, she was her given her first general manager’s role at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Liverpool.
