Travelodge sets its sights on Yorkshire locations for more hotel openings

UK hotel brand, Travelodge, is targeting towns across Yorkshire where it currently has no presence.
This is part of a major expansion strategy across the country.
Sites where Travelodge is actively looking to open a base include eight places which don’t have a Travelodge hotel. These are: Beverley, Bridlington, Headingley, Grimsby/Cleethorpes, Knaresborough/Wetherby, Northallerton, Ripon and Thirsk.
The group is also looking to expand its portfolio in the following established markets which includes:
-
Finding a suitable site to open a second Travelodge hotel in Barnsley, Chesterfield, Durham and Middlesbrough.
-
Finding a suitable site to add a third Travelodge hotel site in Wakefield.
-
Finding a suitable site to add a fourth hotel in Sheffield.
-
Finding a suitable site to add a fifth hotel in Leeds.
Travelodge says it is also actively looking for a 127 hotel sites across London, which could represent an investment of over £3bn for third party investors and create 6,000 jobs.
