Clugston constructs major contract wins

BUILDING contractor Clugston Construction has secured a string of contracts valued at £17.5m.
The projects, which include a factory extension and an office resource centre in Leeds and Immingham respectively, are for international companies with operations in the Yorkshire and Humber region.
Construction work on the two projects requires design and build elements to both and there will be more than 100 people working on the projects at their peak.
Clugston, which has offices in Leeds, Scunthorpe and Hebburn, Tyne and Wear, has also recently started work on a performing arts block at John Leggott College in Scunthorpe.
The £2.5m project, which is being partly funded with money from the Young People’s Learning Authority (YPLA), is part of a rolling programme of improvements being made to the college’s West Common Lane campus to ensure it continues to provide a high quality learning experience for young people.
Steve Radcliffe, managing director at Clugston Construction, said: “We are delighted to have been chosen to work on these developments, which are close to our offices in Leeds and Scunthorpe and will enable us to use our local supply chain.”
