Doosan powers ahead with property deal

GLOBAL power supplies company Doosan Power Systems has taken space in Yorkshire in a deal it says will enable it to push forward with its expansion plans in the region.

Doosan has taken 3,801 sq ft of office space in two buildings at Priority Sites’ Abbey Court in Selby.

Doosan is a leading energy services company operating in the steam generation technology, thermal power, nuclear, oil, gas and petrochemical industries.

Steve Worrell, central branch manager at Doosan, said: “Having outgrown our existing offices we required more space to accommodate the extra staff we now have throughout Central Branch.

“We were attracted to the Abbey Court development due to its proximity to our current Yorkshire office and the amount of workable space available.”

Patrick Lambert, assistant development manager at Priority Sites, said: “The Abbey Court development is proving increasingly popular and the fact that a prestigious global company that wishes to increase their presence in the region has decided to locate at Abbey Court, is testament to the quality of the development.

“With the recent signing of Doosan Power Systems, we have now leased a third of the development.

“We are thrilled to see an international company such as this, seal its position within the Selby Business Park.”
