York expansion for award-winning health care services firm

A CARE services firm, which specialises in providing sensitive and well-trained carers, has opened in York.
ERA Healthcare York aims to offer a combination of premier healthcare services to residential care and nursing homes as well as individuals and families in need of domiciliary care and or nursing care.
The family-owned business, which is run by Tim and Sharon Kent, has already seen its Selsey operation awarded with the highest standard possible from the Care Quality Commission.
ERA Healthcare York has already secured two major contracts and will supply staff to York City Council through Adecco and the Leonard Cheshire Disability Home in Alne.
The company has also been included on the NHS framework to supply nurses and administrative staff in the York region.
Tim Kent, managing director of ERA Healthcare York, said: “As the number of ageing, disabled or mentally ill people requiring help or assistance in the region increases, it is important that the services available are as efficient, comprehensive and effective as possible.
“The views on how people want to be helped in old age are clearly changing. The care sector is trying to be more flexible and responsive to individual’s choices and ERA Healthcare York is able to offer the service to help them achieve this.”
He said that after its initial York launch ERA Healthcare will expand to provide services to residents in Harrogate and Leeds.
