Hall joins NorthEdge Capital from ISIS Equity Partners

NorthEdge Capital, the region’s newest private equity outfit, has appointed experienced dealmaker James Hall to its Yorkshire team.

Mr Hall has joined NorthEdge from ISIS Equity Partners and will support chief investment officer Andy Ball, who is heading its Leeds office.

After completing his chartered accountancy training at PwC in 1991, Mr Hall spent four years within the firm’s corporate finance team before joining private equity firm Bridgepoint in 1999.

He then moved to Royal Bank Development Capital as an associate director before joing ISIS.

NorthEdge Capital, which last week announced that it raised a maiden fund of £125m, is looking to invest between £5m and £30m in businesses with enterprise values of £10m to £100m and which are headquartered in the North of England.

Mr Ball said: “James is highly regarded in the Northern private equity market and is an experienced dealmaker having been involved in lower-mid market private equity transactions for over 15 years. We are delighted to have him on board.”

Mr Hall added: “The NorthEdge team has a tremendous track record of making successful investments in the region. With a number of opportunities in the pipeline already, I can’t wait for us to start supporting the North’s most ambitious management teams.”
