Restaurant deal fuels growth for HCM

HARRIS Construction Management has secured a contract worth around £2m with restaurant chain Burger & Lobster.

The deal will see the Pontefract-based HCM oversee the fitting out of interiors at restaurants in Soho, Mayfair and Farringdon in London.

It is the latest in a series of contract wins for the firm that include working with a developer on a luxury apartment venture, also in the capital

HCM is forecasting a £10m growth in its turnover in the next 12 months.

Jason Adlam, managing director of HCM, saids: “At a time when parts of the construction industry are struggling we’ve been able to continue growing and winning new customers over the last 12 months and we already have a strong pipeline of work that we’re due to start next year across all three of our divisions.

“Plus the London market remains incredibly strong and HCM Interiors is continuing to establish an unrivalled reputation for its quality of work in the capital which is resulting in it continuing to win a wide range of projects at some of the UK’s most exclusive addresses.

“We are currently in discussions and submitting tenders for a number of exciting projects with potential new clients and the business could feasibly grow by 50% next year.”

To support its growth, HCM has appointed Gary Jordan as a senior projects engineer, Lucy Noonan as a business development manager and 16-year-old Robert Rutter as an apprentice joiner.
