In brief: Parseq; FLS; Bayford Foundation

PARSEQ has established a new division to take on the management of its data centre facility in South Yorkshire.
The business process outsourcing company has increased floor space to 12,000sq ft and can now accommodate up to 450 server racks – an increase of more than 100. It’s data centres in Hellaby will be responsible for overseeing the dedicated carrier co-location facility, which provides equipment space and bandwidth for rent to businesses.
Mike Bullivant has been appointed to head up the company’s sales team, with Parseq Data Centres employing around 12 members of staff at Hellaby.
Mr Bullivant said:“Enhancing our purpose designed facility sets a new standard in terms of providing a flexible infrastructure for small and large companies in the region. It will enable Parseq Data Centres to work with even more businesses and this has already been demonstrated by the response from our new customers.”

NEW Funding for Lending Scheme (FLS) numbers show that Leeds Building Society has delivered positive net lending of £197m in Q1 2013.
Furthermore, the UK’s fifth largest building society’s gross lending in Q1 was the highest in its history.
Sales and marketing director, Kim Rebecchi, said: “During 2012 and the first quarter this year, we have completed mortgages totalling over £2bn – well above our natural market share.
“Completions in Q1 this year are 35% higher than the same period in 2012, at over £425m, which is a record for the society. We have lent £138m of this, over 32%, to 1,450 first-time-buyers and this is an increase in value of over 66% compared to Q1 in 2012.
“Whilst retail savings remain at the core of our funding requirements, and will continue to do so, FLS has supported our organic growth aspirations.”

YORKSHIRE bosses have pledged their time and expertise to mentor and support students at a pioneering foundation set to create hundreds of job opportunities in South Leeds.
Managing directors have signed up to the Bayford Foundation which will pay trainees to embark on rolling 12 week training and development programmes in sales. The course will create 40 jobs in the energy industry in the short term.
The foundation is spearheaded by, and will be run from, new offices in the existing premises of Hunslet-based BE Fuel Cards which supplies BP fuel cards to UK businesses.
Chairman of the Bayford Group, John Turner, said: “The foundation is all about investing in jobs for the future and putting something back into local communities to generate vibrant employment opportunities.”
