Yorkshire telecoms specialist dials up strong performance

THE directors of telecoms specialist NGC Networks have reported year-on-year growth and are predicting further strong performance in the coming 12 months after turning the fortunes of the business around.
The West Yorkshire-based company has seen its customer base and revenues increase significantly since Dean Harrop and Nigel Adams bought what was a struggling business seven years ago.
The directors, which now include Nikki Guest, have overseen a turnaround in the company’s performance.
Turnover in 2014 is forecast to be in excess of £3.5m, up £1m on 2012/13 compared to £400,000 when the business was acquired in late 2006.
It works with both private and public sector organisations across the North of England, providing tailored telephone systems and network services using the latest technologies from leading brands such as Avaya, BT Openreach, VirginMedia, TalkTalk Business & Vodafone.
Clients include Superbreak Holidays, Manning Stainton, Timpson, Puma UK, Animalcare, West Yorkshire Playhouse, Lowell Group and Outwood Academy.
Such is NGC Networks’ expansion, it is actively recruiting staff and has just appointed two new members to its sales team, and has also appointed Michelle Brewer to the role of operations co-ordinator.
Dean Harrop and Nikki Guest head up NGC on a day to day basis with Nigel Adams as chairman.
The company is now based at Calder Park near Wakefield.
Mr Harrop said: “We are operating in a very competitive marketplace but believe our commitment to finding the correct telecoms solution for clients which meets their business needs supported by high quality, on-going customer service has made the difference and enabled us to achieve consistent and sustainable year-on-year growth.”
