Lidl to create 40 jobs at former McCain Football Stadium

SCARBOROUGH COUNCIL has approved plans for a 13,842 sq ft store at the former McCain Football Stadium site on Seamer Road.
The discount supermarket chain obtained planning consent from the council for the store, plus 95 car parking spaces.
Lidl will be creating 40 full and part-time jobs for local residents.
The remainder of the site is subject to a separate application by Gleeson Homes to construct 45 homes off a different access road, which is still pending.
Councillors and members of the public have raised concerns over the traffic levels around the site, but the site has been given the go-ahead after it was announced in January of this year.
A Lidl Spokesperson or perhaps just “It is hoped that this development will create 40 new full and part-time jobs and we look forward to bringing our quality offering to the local residents”
