Appointments: Dine, Drax, Getech

CATERING and event management company Dine is expanding with a raft of appointments.
Two event managers, an assistant manager and a business and marketing manager have been appointed to the firm’s The Mansion headquarters in Roundhay Park, Leeds.
Harriett Ashton, previously at The North Light in Huddersfield and Cedar Court Hotel group, and Natalie Richardson, who joins from Hotel Van Dyk in Chesterfield, will support the promotion of events at Dine’s 10 venues across Yorkshire.
Jenny Atkinson joins the company as assistant manager for the Garden Room restaurant at The Mansion. Prior to her appointment, she worked at Wetherby Golf club, Headingley Stadium and recently as assistant manager at The Punchbowl in Churchtown.
Ellie Hinds has taken up the role of business and marketing manager, having spent time as Dine managing directo Daniel Gill’s executive personal assistant.
Daniel Gill said: “We are delighted to welcome Harriett, Natalie and Jenny to the Dine team at such a busy and exciting time. Their joint experience and skills will help support the future success of our weddings and events and the Garden Room.

GROUP operations director Peter Emery is leaving Drax at the end of the year.
His departure follows the completion of the transition to the a management structure introduced earlier this year.
Drax has also announced that Andy Koss, chief executive of Drax Power Limited, the company’s power generation business, has been appointed as a director of the company with effect from 1 January 2016.
Phil Cox, chairman of Drax, said: “On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Peter for his great contribution to Drax over the last 11 years.
“He has been the key individual responsible for Drax’s excellent operational and safety performance and for the technical leadership of its transformation to becoming a predominantly renewable generator.
“The directors are delighted to welcome Andy Koss to the Board. Andy joined Drax in 2005 and has held senior roles in finance, regulation and is CEO of the group’s principal operating subsidiary, Drax Power Limited. Andy brings valuable experience and wide ranging expertise to the Board.”

GETECH, which locates natural resources, has appointed a non-executive director, Chris Flavell.
Mr Flavell has 35 years’ experience operating exploration and production companies in the oil and gas sectors. Prior to his appointment, he managed Tullow Oil’s exploration geoscience team until 2013.
He is currently a director of Zinc Consultants.
Colin Glass has agreed to step down from his position as non-executive director and company secretary, at Getech’s AGM.
Stuart Paton, chairman said “The Board is most grateful to Colin for his outstanding contribution to the Company’s overall development since its formation in 2000, and in particular his contributions as a board member throughout that period.
“In 2000 he led the negotiations for the spin-out of the Company from the University of Leeds, and in 2005 he played a significant part, together with IP Group, in the flotation of the Company on AIM.
“His accountancy practice, WGN, supported the finance function of the Company until the Board agreed it was appropriate to appoint a full-time Financial Controller in June 2014, following which he helped to ensure a smooth transition. The Board wish Colin all the very best for the future.
