Manufacturing plant opened in Barnsley with £1.7m funding

WASTE compactor company Capital Compactors has opened a Barnsley manufacturing plant with a £1.67m funding package.
Capital, a Bognor Regis-based firm, manufactures waste compactors and balers, and their newest Yorkshire base will have equipment to increase capacity, including a metal press and guillotine.
NatWest provided the firm with a £1.29m commercial mortgage which allowed them to buy the Barnsley commercial unit.
Director, Alistair Lindsay said: “Through our dedicated relationship manager David Greenough, NatWest has worked with us to understand the business dynamics, challenges of the sector and our drive to grow the business.”
David Greenough, senior relationship Manager at NatWest, said: “The financial backing we’ve been able to provide, coupled with the strong leadership of Alistair and his fellow director Joanne Lindsay, should certainly see the business get stronger.
“Their commitment to the business and their local communities will see benefits realised in Barnsley and West Sussex as well as the UK manufacturing sector as a whole.”
Joanne Lindsay said, “It is important to us that Capital Compactors contributes to the local community. Working with NatWest to expand the business means that we are continuously employing more people and strengthening the local and national economy.”
