13 is a lucky number for Irwin Mitchell

THE latest round of promotions at Irwin Mitchell has seen 13 promoted to partner level.

From 1 May 2016, Claire Newstead in Leeds and Tim Annett in Sheffield will be promoted, and both are part of Irwin Mitchell’s personal injury team.

Leeds-based James Knowles of the real estate team has also been promoted.

Ed Tomlinson of Irwin Mitchell’s Sheffield office will also become an associate director, the partner-level equivalent for non-lawyers at Irwin Mitchell.

He is a chartered financial planner working for Irwin Mitchell Asset Management in Sheffield, and becomes the latest professional from a specialism other than law to be appointed.

Elsewhere, Rob Laugharne from its Birmingham office, Polly Sweeney and Charlotte Waite have been appointed from the Bristol office as has Katie Thackray, who also works in the court of protection team and is based in the Newcastle office.

Justine Spencer and Andrew Buckham from Southampton and have also been included in the roundup.

In London, banking specialist Rohan Campbell, Paul Smith Jennifer Lund have all been promoted.

The promotions, subject to SRA approval, follow the launch last week of Irwin Mitchell Private Wealth and the merger last year with law firm Thomas Eggar, which created a £250m law firm.
