New CEO at Colliers International

A VETERAN of the commercial property industry has taken a key senior role with Colliers International.

Tony Horrell is the company’s new chief executive for the UK and Ireland and his responsibilities will include directing the firm’s Leeds operation.

The company offers real estate services to landlords and investors.

Mr Horrell, 49, replaces David Izett who resigned in July after nine years in the post to “seek other challenges”.

He joins Colliers having spent 27 years with real estate services firm Jones Lang LaSalle where he worked on growing its capital markets business.

Prior to leaving the firm in 2009, Mr Horrell was international director and head of capital markets in Europe, a business of 450 professionals across 24 countries facilitating £35bn per year in sales, acquisitions and finance transactions.

Mr Horrell said: “I am delighted to be joining Colliers International at a time when there is an absolute passion to grow the business.

“The culture of the company to ‘go the extra mile’ and provide ideas and opportunities for clients matches my own enthusiasm for the industry.”
