Eversheds wins NHS panel selection

LAW firm Eversheds has been appointed to the panel of firms offering legal advice to 32 NHS trusts across the region.

The international firm, which has its Yorkshire office in Leeds, has joined five other firms on the Yorkshire and Humber Commercial Procurement Collaborative (YHCPC) for a full service offering for the NHS trusts.

Eversheds was appointed following a competitive pitch which saw 21 firms bid for six places on the YHCPC panel.

The combined legal spend of the YHCPC is an estimated £15m over the two year appointment.

Eversheds already has a strong presence in the health sector with existing clients including Leeds and Sheffield Teaching Hospitals.

Keith Froud, the firm’s Leeds senior office partner, said: “We have a particularly experienced team of experts at Eversheds who are capable of advising the health sector from every angle as well as in great depth. We already have existing relationships with a number of Yorkshire and Humber’s Trusts. This appointment is a good opportunity for us to develop those relationships further and work with more of the health Trusts in the region.”

Other firms on the YHCPC panel are Capsticks, Beachcrofts, Browne Jacobson, Hempsons and Ward Hadaway.
