Gothic welcome for paying guests

BUSINESSES from across Yorkshire are being invited to attend the re-opening of Carlton Towers near Selby.

The 18th Century Gothic style house, which is home to Lord and Lady Gerald Fitzlan Howard, has recently undergone an extensive facelift and seen the number of letting rooms increase from five to 16.

The official opening on May 21 will see Lady Gerald officially declare the new look hotel open and ready for business.

Lord Gerald said: “Until now guests using Carlton Towers as a wedding or conference venue have been limited to just five bedrooms, which meant we were missing out on a significant amount of business.

“Having increased these to 16 we can now seriously aim at the larger corporate market offering an excellent venue for meetings, conferences and events.”

Carlton Towers is located in the village of Carlton south of Selby.
