Recession hits lap dancing club owner

THE owner of several lap dancing bars and nightclubs in Yorkshire has gone into administration, TheBusinessDesk.com has learned.

Gateshead-based Lookchart, which operates and manages the Purple Door venues in Hull and Doncaster as well as the Attic lap dancing club has appointed
Gerald Krasner and Andrew Haslam of Begbies Traynor as joint administrators.

The company is part of the Absolute Leisure Group, which went into administration last week.

Lookchart has a turnover of £2m and was established many years ago by the Quadrini family who also own Absolute Leisure.

Mr Krasner said: “The directors closed the clubs in Hull last Thursday night, however the Doncaster club is continuing to trade. We are confident of finding buyers for the sites.

“Like Absolute Leisure, Lookchart has been another victim of the challenging economic situation.”
