Latest appointments: Barclays boost North Yorkshire team, Regional director for Gap Personnel, New partner at Ward Hadaway and more

BARCLAYS Commercial Bank has expanded its North Yorkshire team with the appointment of three new relationship directors.

Richard Venters, Sue Papworth and David Noton join the team headed up by Claire Gledhill.

Mr Venters joined Barclays from Lloyds TSB and will focus primarily on building relationships with manufacturing businesses across North Yorkshire.

Ms Papworth, previously of RBS, will work closely with the professional community in North Yorkshire whilst David Noton will be responsible for attracting new business, having held previous roles with HBOS.

Claire Gledhill said: “In the current challenging environment, we remain committed to creating and maintaining a platform for our customers to succeed.

” To achieve this we need a strong team in place to support and guide clients through the downturn and I am delighted to be expanding our team with the appointment of three new directors – Richard Venters, Sue Papworth and Dave Noton – who will all add value to our client proposition.”

RECRUITMENT company, Gap Personnel have appointed a director to oversee all its regional operations in Yorkshire.

Matthew Hull has held previous roles such as northern director for recruitment company, Adecco, before joining Gap Personnel.

In his role as regional director, Mr Hull will be responsible for developing new opportunities for acquisitions and mergers throughout the region and oversee operations in the Yorkshire branches of Leeds, Sheffield and Hull as well as Castle Recruitment in Castleford.

LAW firm, Ward Hadaway, has strengthened its Leeds-based office with the appointment of a new property partner.

Judy Fawcett joined the firm from Addleshaw Goddard and has worked for household names in the retail, investment funds, insurance, and other clients in the financial services industry.

Andrew Hoyle, lead partner for Ward Hadaway’s Leeds office, said: “Judy’s reputation in the commercial property field goes before her so I am delighted that we have been able to attract someone of her calibre and experience to Ward Hadaway.”

MOTOR group, JCT600, have made a senior appointment to its Bradford-based BMW dealership.

Mike Paton joins the team as general manager, a position he once held with the company over 10 years ago.

Mr Paton rejoins JCT600 after 10 years in the role of franchise director with companies such as Audi and VW.

Mike said: “I was delighted to be approached to consider a return to JCT600. I have always made a point of keeping an eye on their progress and have been impressed with their growth and their vision.”
