Female entrepreneurs wanted

A NEW group for female entrepreneurs and managers will offer free support and advice to women who want to develop their businesses and solve tricky business problems.
The Women in Business Group aims to bring together a group of like minded female business owners and managers in SMEs who will work together, along with a facilitator, to resolve particular issues they may face and to learn from each other’s experiences.
The sessions are run by Sheffield Business School at Sheffield Hallam University and would normally cost £399.
However, the Northern Leadership Academy has sponsored eight free places for women business owners in the Sheffield postcode.
The programme is made up of four sessions, delivered over approximately four months and will allow participants to build a new business support network, as well as developing strategic problem solving skills.
Tim Davidson-Hague, head of continuing professional development at Sheffield Business School, said: “The group is for women who want to be stretched and who are looking to develop their strategic problem solving skills.
“Peer learning is a fantastic way to develop new skills and the sessions are designed to enable participants to bring real life problems to the group for resolution.
