European milestone for Lapicida

THE biggest stone tile showroom in Europe has been opened in Yorkshire.

Lapicida Stone Production, the importer and distributor of premium stone products, has opened the new showroom on the outskirts of Harrogate.

The 32,000 square foot building is set on three acres at St James' Park in Knaresborough and has a striking barrel-vaulted ceiling, luxury room sets and state-of-the-art presentation rooms.

Features such as industrial heat exchanger technology that reduce gas and electric bills by 60%, and sensors which ensure lighting levels are as energy

efficient as possible also mean that the showroom is eco-friendly.

The company, which has a history spanning two decades, has moved from its original site at Killinghall, just north of Harrogate.

Managing director of Lapicida, Jason Cherrington, said: “This move signifies a major move forward for Lapicida and has been prompted by our desire to exceed our customer's expectations when it comes to our product range and the service we deliver.”

The increased capacity of the new warehouse has increased the amount of stock held by Lapicida, meaning most customers don't need to pre-order stone products and tiles.
