Clear vision for Optegra

SPECIALIST eye treatment business Optegra has refurbished a major Yorkshire site and opened a second centre in the region.
Optegra, which acquired Yorkshire Eye Hospital 12 months ago, has carried out a major refurbishment of the Apperley Bridge site, enabling it to carry out more eye care treatments and procedures.
It has launched a new high street laser eye centre in Leeds, which has the capacity to treat up to 20 patients a day.
Gareth Steer, managing director of Optegra, said: “The large population of Yorkshire, many of whom currently wear glasses or suffer eye conditions such as cataracts or glaucoma, makes this region a key market for us.
“The Yorkshire Eye Hospital has been an established, and successful business over the last eight years and we’re very excited to be building on its success and bringing a new level of customer experience.
“We’ve made a considerable investment in terms of equipment and facilities, which combined with some of the country’s leading ophthalmic surgeons, gives people in Yorkshire the highest quality of treatment and care anywhere in the world.”
Sue Boyes, hospital manager of the Optegra Yorkshire Eye Hospital, added: “The Optegra Yorkshire Eye Hospital is the only specialist private eye hospital of its kind in the region.
“There’s few places in the country which can offer the breadth of treatment, world-class equipment and leading expertise from our surgeons and staff that we can. We’re all very excited to see the launch of both centres.”
Optegra operates three other private eye hospitals across the country.
