Appointments: Trio of hires at engineering firm; New partner at Langleys; and more

YORKSHIRE engineering firm KOSO Kent Introl (KKI) has expanded its control valve and sales teams with three hires.
Michael Crowther joins the company as a control valve engineer. He will manage the technical and commercial interpretation of customer enquiries and the sales of KKI control valves.
He joins from Hindle Cockburns where he was an internal sales engineer for three years, specialising in severe service ball valves.
Hayley Burnett rejoins KKI as control valve engineer. She previously spent a period of 20 years with the company, before working for three years in Dubai.
She will be primarily responsible for the sizing and selection of control valves in the aftermarket control valve sales department.
Shaun Sharp has been appointed as trainee sales engineer, after spending eight years specialising in control valve design within the company.
He has 18 years mechanical engineering experience, with particular focus on the valve industry.

STEPHEN Elliott has joined Langleys to lead the York employment team and work with the overall unit head Kate Hindmarch.
Mr Elliott has over 12 years experience, beginning his training with Punch Robson in Middlesbrough before moving to Ward Hadaway, where he became partner.
His expertise includes representation at employment tribunals, providing strategic advice on the employment aspects of complex corporate transactions and TUPE, and the negotiation of exit/compensation packages.
He also advises on data protection matters and delivers training on employment law issues.
Managing partner David Thompson said: “Employment law is one area that faces growing demand in the current economic climate.
“Stephen brings to Langleys his specialist experience of helping businesses and senior executives with all aspects of employment law and HR best practice.”

BARCLAYS Corporate has made a further appointment to the West Yorkshire team.
Mike Holloway joins as a relationship director and will be responsible for professional practice clients with fee income in excess of £5m in the West Yorkshire region.
Holloway, who has over 25 years experience in credit and relationship management for major UK banks, has an MBA in legal practice management.
He will continue to build on his existing relationships with law firms across Yorkshire to grow an important sector in Barclays Corporate’s growth strategy.
