Print company looks to future with investment

PRINTING and mailing company Platinum Print has invested in its future by taking on three new employees and buying a £130,000 mailing machine.

The latest development brings the total investment in the Harrogate-based company to over £180,000 in the last 12 months.

The new Grutzmacher mail processing machine adds a further dimension to the mailing division at Platinum, enabling an even speedier service to customers.

Running at full capacity, the Grutzmacher can insert over a million envelopes a month and operates at three times the speed of a standard inserter.

Managing director David Wyvill said: “In a very tough year for the printing industry as a whole, we increased our turnover in 2009/10 by 15% and this has provided a platform to build our business even further in 2011.

“Further investments are planned for later this year. I am very proud of our team for continuing to drive our business forward.”
