Life ‘crisis’ coaching firm launched

A HIGH profile university director has launched a new business having retrained to follow a lifelong passion.
Sheffield-based Danielle Barbereau recently left her post as director of the Language Teaching Centre at Sheffield University to launch her own business – Solace Space.
The firm specialises in pre-retirement coaching, dealing with change, turning redundancy into opportunity, executive and business coaching, personal coaching and coaching in the workplace.
Solace Space provides tailor-made workshops for private individuals and corporate clients designed to offer practical support and relevant information to help with setting and reaching personal goals.
Courses can be run either in-house or as away-days at locations around the UK and can be on a one-to-one basis or in groups.
As well as delivering the workshops personally, Ms Barbereau has a team of associates specialising in a variety of areas who will work alongside her including a GP, psychotherapist, neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) practitioners, alternative therapists, a career guidance counsellor and a relationship specialist.
She said: “Already my pre-retirement and redundancy workshops are proving popular and I passionately believe that change, if properly managed, can lead to exploration and transformation to turn what may initially appear to be a crisis into a positive and life-enhancing experience.
“Indeed, launching Solace Space is a life-changing experience for me and is a chance for me to really explore and share a passion that I have had all of my professional life.”
