Another recruitment round for TSYS

TSYS – one of the world’s largest providers of outsourced payment services – is looking to recruit yet more staff for its Yorkshire operations.

The American firm, which employs around 500 staff from its European headquarters in York and Knaresborough-based data centre, is holding a recruitment evening on July 23 to prepare for future growth.

In May, the company announced 98 new jobs.

This time round it is looking for individuals at all levels with experience in business analysis, programming, account management, projects, business development and incident management.

Andrea Steadman, senior director of human resources at TSYS said: “During the lastsix years we have experienced strong growth and predict further expansion.
“The recruitment evening will allow us to identify local talent to potentially work and grow with us into the future.”

Denise Stuart, chief executive of york-england.com – the organisation tasked with attracting new investment into York and North Yorkshire – said: “We assisted TSYS in establishing a base in York back in 2001 and have seen them grow from the 50 employed initially to nearly 500 across its two North Yorkshire sites.

“TSYS is a key company in York’s buoyant and growing IT sector and it is very positive to see the company experiencing success at the levels they are at present.”

The company is recognised as one of Fortune magazines most admired companies and has been named as ‘one to watch’ by the Sunday Times.

The event will take place from 6pm to 8pm at the company’s York office. CVs need to be sent by July 20.
