Appointments: Raft of promotions at Taylor&Emmet; Turner makes partner at WGN; and more

SHEFFIELD solicitors Taylor&Emmet has recognised the efforts of half a dozen key members of its team by appointing them as associates.

The six newly promoted associates include corporate law expert Peter Crawford, Paul Fouad and James Drydale from the firm’s clinical negligence team, wills and probate specialists Nichola Carmichael and Hannah Montague, and Fay Bunting from the family department.

WGNCLAIRE Turner, director of personal taxation services at Leeds-based chartered accountants Winburn Glass Norfolk (WGN), has been made a partner.

Ms Turner has worked with a range of WGN clients for over nine years, advising on various tax matters.

Melvyn Winburn, a founding partner, said: “Claire specialises in all aspects of personal taxation including income tax, capital gains tax, trust and inheritance tax, offering sound, practical, tax planning advice and her contribution, her drive and her knowledge are an essential part of our continued success.”

MOORLAND Energy, the onshore oil and gas exploration and production company which has a gas well near Pickering, has appointed Alex Lambie as a non executive director.

Mr Lambie, currently chief executive of Welsh Power, has more than 25 years experience in the commercial arena of energy, specifically in oil, gas and electricity.

Previously, he held senior positions at British Gas, National Power, Amec, Sithe Energies and Endesa SA.

Network Marketing new recruitsMARKETING recruitment company Network Marketing has recruited four new staff.

Angela Hough, TeeJay Jones, Prathama Panigrahi and Laura Mallinson have joined the team, marking the Leeds-based company’s expansion following the opening of its Manchester office last year.
