Former Whitehead Mann partner targets top level Yorkshire talent

A FORMER partner at headhunter Whitehead Mann has joined a top end search boutique targeting the Yorkshire market.

Joanna Martin has joined London-based search firm The Miles Partnership after almost four years as a partner in Whitehead Mann’s industry practice based in its Leeds office.

Ms Martin, who lives in Yorkshire, will work with The Miles Partnership to provide top level candidates for executive roles across the UK.

She said that the closure of Whitehead Mann’s office in Leeds in January means there is a gap in the market for high end search work in Yorkshire.

“Following the closure of Whitehead Mann’s office in Leeds, there are now no top level executive search firms with a base or genuine interest in the North of England. 

“Given the importance of  the Leeds and Yorkshire region as a business centre and wealth generator which is well-positioned for the upturn in terms of the quality of our companies and workforce that seems something of an oversight.

“My aim is to make sure that this gap is filled,” she added.

Prior to joining Whitehead Mann, Ms Martin had 25 years executive experience at managing director level in the business and support services sectors.

The Miles Partnership is an entirely partner owned firm with eight partners and was founded in 1998.
