Sheffield perfect fit for Autodesk

A MULTI-BILLION dollar US design software company is set to move into a development in Sheffield.
The Synergy Building in Sheffield's Cathedral Quarter will be the home of an office of Autodesk, the American company which recently acquired Sheffield-based NavisWorks, a specialist computer software provider.
Autodesk is keen to establish a regional base in Sheffield.
Joint agents on the scheme, Lambert Smith Hampton and Crossland Otter Hunt, have secured a lease for 6,000 sq ft of grade A office space for the company.
Peter Thompson, director of the NavisWork Business Line for Autodesk, said: "The Synergy Building offered a fantastic opportunity for setting up Autodesk's Sheffield office which will be enhanced by NavisWorks' local knowledge and existing client base. The location and accessibility combined with the quality and professional image made The Synergy Building the perfect choice for us."
With dual frontage onto Bank Street and Campo Lane, the 65,679 sq ft Synergy Building now benefits from new entrances and upgraded reception areas along with improved access and restyled common areas.
The building also has 65 on site parking spaces.
Rob Darrington, of Lambert Smith Hampton, said: "This latest letting to such a successful global company really is testament to the success of the refurbishment by Quintain Estates and Development and the clear potential that The Synergy Building offers."
