Chemex announces expansion plans

THE Doncaster franchise of Chemex International is defying the recession by launching two new service centres in East Yorkshire and South Yorkshire.

The franchise, which supplies cleaning and hygiene products and provides free consultancy as well as health and safety and hygiene training, has grown rapidly since being taken on by former mining mechanical engineer John Heslop nine years ago.

Now the business has opened a new service centre in Hull in addition to new regional offices in Sheffield.

Mr Heslop said:”Although times are hard for many businesses there are tremendous opportunities in Hull and East Yorkshire for our products.

“Our business is about as recession proof as you can get as the service and products we provide are seen as necessities and not luxuries by our customers.

Keith Nutton, who joined as business partner three years ago, said that the business was responding to customer needs.

“We have responded to this demand and provide a specialized service offering free on-site surveys as well as advice and training in health and hygiene control and we design a package to suit an individual company’s needs,” he said.
