2011 FD of the Year Awards launched

THE region’s elite finance directors are to be honoured through the 2011 Yorkshire Finance Director of the Year Awards.

And after celebrating a decade of success in Yorkshire, the awards are being launched in the North West and the West Midlands.

The Yorkshire Awards which recognise the huge pool of talent in the region are sponsored by accountancy firm Ernst & Young, Sewell Recruitment Group, law firm Squire Sanders Hammonds and Santander Corporate Banking.

TheBusinessDesk.com is media partner for the awards.

The awards are judged on all round commercial and managerial skills, including interpersonal qualities and business acumen, as well as the more traditional technical accounting and financial skills.

Entries for the awards are now being called for. Judging will take place between June and August with the Yorkshire black tie awards dinner being held at Rudding Park on September 21.

The 2011 award categories are:
