NG Bailey makes acquisition

BUILDING services provider NG Bailey has acquired a specialist IT services firm.

Ilkley-based NG Bailey, which employs 4,000 people, has bought Crawley-based s2s which will be integrated into the group's Bailey Teswaine subsidiary.

S2s supplies communications systems and and software security services to the SME market in the UK.

David Lane, finance director of Bailey Teswaine, said: “The fit with Bailey Teswaine became very clear some time ago and we have been impressed with the progress the firm has made, in particular with its key supplier Cisco.

“There are a great number of growth opportunities that s2s will be able to leverage as part of our larger group and their network security expertise will enhance the overall NG Bailey offering.”

The acquisition was structured and project-managed by Andy Miller and Jim Whittaker of BTG McInnes Corporate Finance.

Mr Whittaker, partner at BTG McInnes, said: “S2s is a high quality growing business with an impressive client list and a determined management team.”

Mr Miller added: “S2s was identified as a strong strategic fit following a review of target businesses evaluated during the early part of 2007, and it is rewarding to see the firm finally integrated into the NG Bailey group to assist their strategic growth in this sector.”

Nick Emmerson of Eversheds provided legal advice and Adrian Hackett of Hackett Windle provided tax advice to NG Bailey.

Bailey Teswaine is a market leader in providing communication and network security applications to a wide range of blue-chip organisations.
