SlingsbyTROLLIES took on a different use last week as a Yorkshire industrial and commercial equipment supplier took part in a charity event.

Shipley-based Slingsby took part in The Springboard Slingsby Challenge, organised by the Springboard Charitable Trust, a charity which helps young, unemployed and disadvantaged people train and pursue careers in the hospitality, leisure and tourism industry.

The Slingsby team joined hundreds of people by decorating a trolley and completing laps on a course in London’s Hyde Park.

Christian Slingsby, sales director at Slingsby, said: “Since the first Springboard Slingsby Challenge was held three years ago, it has grown significantly and we’re delighted to be able to support Springboard and help to improve people’s career prospects.

“It’s great fun for everyone involved and offers a fantastic platform to raise money for the charity and raise awareness of its work.”
