Parkside move makes sense for logistics firm

A LOGISTICS company has taken space at St Modwen’s Parkside Industrial Estate in Doncaster.

BJS Storage & Distribution has agreed a 10-year lease at the site after needing to expand its storage facilities.

The company will move into a 160,000 sq ft building comprising three units, helping it fulfil its needs and gear up for future expansion.

The deal follows St Modwen’s recent agreement with Plastech, the first tenant to take space on the open storage compound within the estate. Plastech recently signed a 10-year lease on a 1.5 acre plot.

Richard Bannister, development manager at St Modwen, said: “Our 27 acre site, just off the A1(M),  is fast becoming the new destination for Doncaster businesses looking for affordable, safe, and flexible storage.

“We are delighted that BJS Storage & Distribution has chosen Parkside as their new location. In just a short space of time we have let most of the existing space on site.

“We are now pressing ahead with our plans to create fully fenced, secured open storage compounds to provide flexible solutions for both national and local occupiers.”

St Modwen bought the 27 acre Parkside site in 2009 and has refurbished 240,000 sq ft of buildings which are now fully let.

It has also demolished 360,000 sq ft of production buildings to create secure open storage space, nine acres of which is available to let on flexible terms.
