Where do you live/where are you from?

I have just moved back home to Holmfirth in Huddersfield. Before this I lived in Richmond in North Yorkshire. They are two beautiful areas of Yorkshire, but It’s lovely being home.

What is your favourite place to visit in Yorkshire and why?

This is really hard, but I would have to say Buckden in the Yorkshire Dales. This is such a special place to me, the view at the top of Buckden is stunning and it is where my hubby took us on our first date!

What is still on your “to do” list in the region?

I am going to enter the Yorkshire 3 peaks fell race. It’s been on my list for a while. I’ve been to watch it a few times and each year it’s been awful weather…but it just makes it more appealing to me. Fell runners legends in my eyes, and I can’t wait to get to the finish line one day!

What is the most memorable meal you’ve ever had in Yorkshire?

For my birthday I went to Chaophraya, the Thai restaurant in Leeds. Thai is one of my favourite foods and it was such a treat. I love Leeds too!

What is your most Yorkshire trait?

I love a good ‘Ey up’…it makes me smile!

Favourite piece of trivia about the region

In York, it is legal to shoot a Scotsman with a bow and arrow. But not on Sundays. I couldn’t believe this when I first heard it!

What is your favourite cultural icon to come out of Yorkshire?

I love a Yorkshire Pudding! They are big and bouncy. You can put gravy in them and they go with every meal. My hubby and I often order a side of Yorkshire Pudding!

Worst experience or thing about Yorkshire?

You expect everyone else to love Yorkshire puddings and gravy as much as you, call a spade a spade and to be as friendly as us northerners. But the truth is…we are a rare find.

What is one thing you’d steal from Lancashire (or other UK regions) if you could?

The Lake District…it’s one of my favourite places to visit in the UK.

What is the most overrated thing about Yorkshire?

Yorkshire puddings with Jam…I’m not a big fan!
