First tenants welcomed at £6m development

Brian Freestone (Tradepark), Jolita Shishmanova and Olga Konone (House of Lashes & Brows), Sean Scott and Jade Hickson (ReShapeU), and Alex Browning (Tradepark).

K2, Hull’s new £6m mixed-use development, has welcomed its first tenants.

Beauty and aesthetic clinic ReShapeU and beauty salon House of Lashes & Brows have moved into renovated retail units on the ground floor of the 90,000sq ft development, which will officially open in early 2018.

K2, which is located at the former Kingston House premises in Bond Street, will be home to flexible office and co-working space, 14 serviced apartments, a 100-bed hotel, and retail and leisure space, with plans to include a restaurant, gym, bar and a café with rooftop terrace.

Beverley-based Tradepark purchased Kingston House via NPS in August. Work began on site in September through principal contractors MLS Group, with the first office space due to be ready in the new year.

Mark Butters, director at Tradepark Ltd, said: “One of the most exciting parts of any property redevelopment is when the first tenants start moving in and trading. We’re delighted to welcome Jolita, Olga, Sean and their teams to K2, and to hear how their businesses are thriving in our newly-revamped retail units.”

“Since we announced K2, we’ve been inundated with enquiries and busy organising viewings – sometimes up to three a day. We can’t wait to complete the office space and welcome tenants there in the new year.”
