People: Five new recruits for boutique law firm; Financier continues to build its team; Surveyor returns to Sanderson Weatherall;

Leeds-based boutique law firm 3volution has recruited five new members of staff.
The company, which now employs 23 people, has appointed partner Michael Cantwell, solicitors Chris Thornton and Catherine Pugh and trainee solicitors Melissa Poulter, Saman Ul-Haq and Philippa Webster.
Founding partner Jonathan Priestley said: “It’s an exciting time here at 3volution. When Louise Handley, Tim Stone and I set up the business in 2011 we intended to keep our focus firmly on providing the very best specialist legal services possible by playing to our particular strengths and letting the business develop organically. We didn’t want to be distracted by growth for growth’s sake.
“Having worked hard to maintain this ethos we have gradually built up the business by working with a fantastic selection of clients and attracting some of the best legal talent in the region. I’m delighted to say that all of our specialist teams – corporate, commercial litigation, employment, commercial, intellectual property and information technology – are flourishing.”

Yorkshire-based bridging financier TFG Capital is continuing to build its team with Damian Slingsby and Joel Brooks joining the firm.
Slingsby has joined TFG Capital as regional sales director, based in its Doncaster office. He has spent over 15 years working in business development and operations roles in the bridging finance and asset based lending market and will be responsible for further growing TFG Capital’s business in Yorkshire and the North East.
Brooks has joined as a business development executive, based in its Manchester office. Joel previously worked for a well know North West commercial brokerage business. With experience of providing property and development finance, he will focus on further growing TFG Capital’s contacts and business in the North West.
“Over the last three and a half years, we’ve worked hard to establish ourselves as a fast, reliable alternative to traditional funding avenues,” said founder and director of TFG Capital, James Mortimore. “As specialists in providing property and asset backed cash flow and bridging finance, we’ve proved able fill a much-needed gap in the market and, consequently, we’re continuing to grow.”
Slingsby said: “We regularly see great businesses which are asset rich, but are struggling to secure the capital they need either because they don’t fit the rigid criteria of the mainstream lenders or the process is simply taking too long for their requirements. TFG Capital is able to overcome these obstacles and consequently has seen rapid growth.
“This is a fantastic chance to join a dynamic business which is proving nimble enough to provide the swift, flexible lending that many businesses and property operators need.”
Founded by Mortimore in 2014, TFG Capital is based out of its Head Office in Doncaster. It provides short to medium term loans from £50,000 to £3m over terms up to 18 months.
