Gym group rescued from administration

A gym group with a branch in Rotherham has been saved from administration, saving a total of 35 jobs.

Duff & Phelps has completed the sale of i-Motion Gym Ltd, securing 35 jobs in Rotherham and Stafford.

Sarah Bell and Steven Muncaster of Duff & Phelps were appointed joint Administrators to i-Motion Gym Ltd on 13 June and led the sale transaction and administration process.

The business and its assets have been purchased by I-Motion Fitness Limited and the deal was backed by Access Commercial Finance. The deal also had the support of the landlords and was completed on 6 July.

i-Motion Gym Ltd offers gyms with no contract memberships in Rotherham and Stafford and has around 4,100 members across the two sites. Both locations provide a range of modern matrix equipment and instructor-led fitness classes.
