Major contracts secure growth for elearning firm

Elearning company Day One Technologies is creating 20 new jobs on the back of securing major contracts.

The Batley-based firm, established in 1997, has created elearning for UK and European  brands, including the likes of Lloyds Bank, Co-operative, ghd, Halifax, The Internet Society and TSB.

Its high-tech scenario and simulation based training solutions are gaining popularity in a range of sectors, with new clients including the NHS and Scottish Government.

Elaine Teal, director at Day One, said: “Much of our enduring success has been down to the partnerships we create with our clients. We don’t just deliver a product or service, shake hands and say goodbye – during the process we really get to understand their business and their goals. This means we can create solutions to meet their unique challenges right now, then help them adapt as their business and goals change.”

The elearning market has been growing consistently and rapidly over the last 15 years, and a recent Reuters report cites studies that predict continued growth, with the global elearning market set to exceed $275bn by 2022.

Andy Cottier, co-director at Day One, added: “While we work with some big name clients, we’re still quite a small team at the moment. We see this as the start of a period of exciting development for our business, and with the clear growth in demand for elearning and training technology, we’re excited about bringing some of that growth here to West Yorkshire.”
