Protection materials firm grows with new 52,500 sq ft base
Protec International is to open a new site and create 20 new jobs, taking 52,500 sq ft at Markham Vale.
Protec International is the leading supplier of LPCB approved flame retardant temporary protection materials to the construction and house building sectors. Its new premises covers 5.39 acres, offering the potential for further expansion. The unit will comprise 50,000 sq ft warehouse space and 2,500 sq ft offices, along with 35 car parking spaces.
Markham Vale is a 200-acre industrial and logistics development located at Junction 29A of the M1 in Derbyshire, a joint venture between Henry Boot Developments (HBD) and Derbyshire County Council.
Protec International is the latest company to take space at Markham Vale, joining existing occupiers including Great Bear, Gist and Ferdinand Bilstein UK.
Andrew Priestley, Development Surveyor at HBD, said: “Demand has remained robust at Markham Vale, led largely by its unrivalled transport links and proven success as a top-flight industrial location. We’ve no doubt that Markham Vale will prove an excellent location for Protec International, supporting its continued growth while creating valuable new jobs.”

The initial phase will create up to 20 new jobs and plans for the second phase could add a further 20-25 across manufacturing and warehousing disciplines.
