Expanding security firm snaps up counterpart in maiden acquisition

A Doncaster-based security firm has acquired a rival business, also located in the town.

R&S Security Specialists has completed the takeover of Diamond Alarms, following the retirement of its director John Newton. This is R&R Security’s first acquisition, which was completed for an undisclosed sum.

Founded in 2007 by Richard Sanders and Scott Parkinson, R&S Security Specialists supplies security systems to both domestic and commercial customers across the Yorkshire region.

The firm’s key services include CCTV, intruder alarms, fire alarms and access control.

John Newton, director at Diamond Alarms, said: “I have every confidence that the team at R&S Security will continue to provide a high-quality service to existing clients, exceeding their expectations and will continue to expand their client base.”

Richard Sanders, managing director R&R security, added: “R&S Security are incredibly pleased to have acquired Diamond Alarms. It signifies our intent to grow and offer more services to Yorkshire businesses.

“We will be working closely with John and his team during the upcoming months to ensure that the transfer of customers to R&S Security is seamless.”
