Construction firm set to surpass £20m turnover mark

A Leeds-based construction company is forecast to exceed the £20m turnover mark in its tenth year in business.

Formed in 2009 by directors Richard Lumley and Frank Kofler, Castlehouse Construction now employs a total of 30 people.

The firm has reported a strong pipeline of work with £15m+ projects already underway in 2019. Castlehouse also has a nationwide framework agreement in place with Lidl and recently completed its 20th new build project for the retailer.

The Quattro Property Group has appointed Castlehouse to transform the former Southfield office block on Station Parade in Harrogate into 20 apartments.

The firm also completed work on the purpose-designed £4m Priory accommodation in the grounds of Sneaton Castle in Whitby for the Order of the Holy Paraclete.

Richard Lumley, chairman of Castlehouse Construction, said: “We are immensely proud to celebrate our 10th anniversary in business with a strong order book and growing workforce.

“”We put our year on year organic growth down to getting the right team in place, together with stringently managing projects and establishing strong partnerships with our clients.

“The UK construction sector may have ended 2018 on a weaker footing amid fading demand for commercial projects and the growing risk of a no-deal Brexit, but we are fairing well and are confident of a strong pipeline of projects in 2019/20 and further growth.”
